2.12 In The Name of The Brother

Here is what I love about Once Upon A Time...it takes the seemingly cheesy and makes it entertaining.

In The Name of the Brother we got an some more back story on Frankenstein aka Dr. Whale. When we first learned who Dr. Whale really was I was a little thrown. Definitely wasn't expecting Frankenstein to make an appearance in Story Brook...mostly because I though the curse was centered around Fairy Tales (the Enchanted Forest.) I don't know much about Frankenstein's story...never watched the movies or anything so his tale is all new to me. And I am actually finding it very intriguing!

We spent most of the episode watching Dr. Whale battle his inner demons...not wanting to become the monster most people mistaken him for. Back in the fairy tale land that was we learned how Frankenstein ended up in the Enchanted Forest in the first place...out of his realm (is that the right word to use?). Rumplestilskin wanted to learn about the science that is Frankensteins greatest power. It was interesting. All the magic in the world and still nothing quite like the power of science.

Let's get to the man who crashed his way into Story Brook. After  much back and forth between the "Sheriff's crew", as I will put it, Dr. Whale finally saved the poor "Joe". He claimed he didn't see anything when he crashed but after a phone call to the mysterious "Her" we learned he saw it all. Who is this gal? I see a major surprise ahead in this story.

It will be very interesting to see the kinds of people who now are able to come to Story Brook. I wonder if the man who crashed is someone who was specifically looking for the place. I feel like he knew exactly where he was headed.

I was a little disappointed that for the second week in a row Regina was barely in the episode. I love the character of Regina/Evil Queen. In season one she was the picture of evil...just perfect. And watching her deal with the falling out after the curse was broken was just fantastic! I truly believe she loves Henry and is trying to change...however now her manipulative mother Cora is back and she knows exactly how to control Regina for her own agenda.

Some more questions I am now circling back to:
Will we be seeing Emma's baby daddy anytime soon? In the beginning of the season we learned he was definitely waiting for the curse to be broken. Also, what exactly did August show him in that box that made him instantly believe in Emma's destiny?

Where is August aka Pinnochio?! He disappeared after being turned into a wooden puppet when the curse was broken.

Theory Time!

I am one of the believers that thinks Rumple's son Bay will turn out to be Peter Pan. In my opinion you can't have Hook with Peter so he must make an appearance soon. The tales go hand in hand and it's one of the most famous good vs. evil stories out there. Some stories of Peter Pan state that Tinker Bell came to our world where she met Peter and took him to Neverland. Everyone knows that in Neverland you don't age...a kid forever! So let's say Bay traveled to our world with the magic bean where he met Tinkerbell who took him off to Neverland...where he had all of his wonderful adventures before realizing you can't stay young forever. He came back to our world where maybe he grew up. Now we just have to wait for Rumple to find him. We saw in an earlier episode that Hook went to Neverland already...it makes sense that Hook would have a problem with Peter Pan if he is Rumple's son because of his quarrel with Rumple himself. Lets see if this is something that actually plays out.

Side Notes:

I am very upset that Belle can't remember Rumple. I was finally starting to like this version of her character and now she can't remember any of it!

Chip! Belle smashed the tea cup...sad.
